Red Collared Lorikeet

A active, small dog typically living 20–30 years, the Red Collared Lorikeet is raised well in compact Mumbai homes. Density suits it: one brought up around lifts, noise and strangers grows into a calmer animal than one kept apart from all three.

Every dog we place is vet-examined and dewormed before it travels, and you see it on a video call at pickup, once the booking is confirmed.

Caring for a Red Collared Lorikeet through a Mumbai year

• Monsoon: four months of rain shape the routine. Dry the dog thoroughly and never let bedding stay damp.
• Exercise: two walks a day, and do not over-exercise a young dog while the joints are still forming.
• Feeding: portioned to the adult size, with any brand change phased over a week.
• Socialising: new people, surfaces and noises early and often, while it is still easy.
• Clinic: number saved and records kept in the same place.
