What is listed for Velhe is what we can actually deliver. A playful tiny breed raised in this density grows up used to noise, lifts and strangers, and is calmer for it.

The monsoon, honestly

moderate Deccan, which is a polite way of saying the rain arrives and does not leave. A tiny bird coming in wet twice a day needs a towel routine and somewhere to dry that is not the bed. Fungal trouble in a African Love Birds starts in exactly the places you stop checking.

Walking a tiny breed in a crowded city

There is no quiet route, so the training has to do the work instead. A African Love Birds that walks on a loose lead past traffic, hawkers and other dogs is a pleasure; one that pulls is a daily argument for 12-15 Years. That difference is decided in the first three months.

Choosing between breeds

If you are weighing the African Love Birds against something else, compare coat and energy rather than looks. In this climate a heavy coat is real work, and a tiny bird with more energy than your schedule has hours will be unhappy in a way that no amount of affection fixes.

A African Love Birds in a Velhe home

Space in Velhe is measured carefully, and a tiny bird has to fit into a plan that was already tight. The good news is that a African Love Birds cares far less about floor area than about whether anyone is in the room. Households here manage this breed in genuinely small flats, and manage it well.

Vets, boosters and finding help quickly

Keep the vaccination card and the clinic number in the same place. A tiny bird on a booster schedule needs the original dates, and the person covering for you on a weekend will need both without having to ask.

The cost, and the cost after that

From ₹3,198. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. Budget a similar amount again for year one.

Vets, records and the monsoon

Every African Love Birds leaves with its health record complete — vaccinations, deworming and a pre-listing check. Register with a Velhe vet in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong: the difference between a clinic that knows your bird and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable.
