Buy Yellow Monk in Shirur, Pune

What is listed for Shirur is what we can actually deliver. A family friendly small breed raised in this density grows up used to noise, lifts and strangers, and is calmer for it.

Choosing between breeds

Talk to us before you decide rather than after. We would rather place a different bird with you and have it work than sell you the Yellow Monk you asked for and hear about it in six months.

Walking a small breed in a crowded city

Keep the bird on the inside, away from the road, and accept that a Shirur walk is a training session rather than a stroll. A Yellow Monk learns the city fast when it is walked deliberately and never learns it at all when it is dragged.

A Yellow Monk in a Shirur home

Space in Shirur is measured carefully, and a small bird has to fit into a plan that was already tight. The good news is that a Yellow Monk cares far less about floor area than about whether anyone is in the room. Households here manage this breed in genuinely small flats, and manage it well.

What it costs, and what it keeps costing

From ₹28,837. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. We would rather quote the real figure and explain what is in it.

The monsoon, honestly

comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward Four months of the year, everything about owning a Yellow Monk here is shaped by water - walks get shorter, drying becomes a daily ritual, and skin problems that would be trivial elsewhere turn stubborn if ignored. Plan for it rather than being surprised by it each June.

The cost, and the cost after that

From ₹28,837. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. Budget a similar amount again for year one.

Vets, records and the monsoon

Every Yellow Monk leaves with its health record complete — vaccinations, deworming and a pre-listing check. Register with a Shirur vet in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong: the difference between a clinic that knows your bird and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable.
