A African Grey Parrot in a Shetphal Haveli home

People assume the constraint is square footage. It is usually storage - where the food goes, where the carrier lives, where a wet bird dries off in August. Solve those three and a African Grey Parrot settles into a Shetphal Haveli flat with less friction than you would guess.

The monsoon, honestly

the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Four months of the year, everything about owning a African Grey Parrot here is shaped by water - walks get shorter, drying becomes a daily ritual, and skin problems that would be trivial elsewhere turn stubborn if ignored. Plan for it rather than being surprised by it each June.

Walking a medium breed in a crowded city

Early mornings are the honest answer. The pavements are passable, the surface is cool enough for paws, and a family friendly African Grey Parrot gets to work through its energy before the day starts. Evening walks are for company rather than exercise.

Vets, boosters and finding help quickly

Register with a vet before you need one. In a city this size the difference between a clinic that knows your African Grey Parrot and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable. Do it in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong.

The cost, and the cost after that

From ₹67,150. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. Budget a similar amount again for year one.
