A Yellow Monk in a Kolvan home

Space in Kolvan is measured carefully, and a small bird has to fit into a plan that was already tight. The good news is that a Yellow Monk cares far less about floor area than about whether anyone is in the room. Households here manage this breed in genuinely small flats, and manage it well.

Walking a small breed in a crowded city

There is no quiet route, so the training has to do the work instead. A Yellow Monk that walks on a loose lead past traffic, hawkers and other dogs is a pleasure; one that pulls is a daily argument for 5-15 Years. That difference is decided in the first three months.

Choosing between breeds

The Yellow Monk is family friendly and lives around 5-15 Years. Both facts should sit in the decision. A breed that suits a household at thirty may not suit the same household at forty, and this is a long commitment in a city that moves people around.

The monsoon, honestly

mild tropical plateau, which is a polite way of saying the rain arrives and does not leave. A small bird coming in wet twice a day needs a towel routine and somewhere to dry that is not the bed. Fungal trouble in a Yellow Monk starts in exactly the places you stop checking.

The cost, and the cost after that

From ₹28,837. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. Budget a similar amount again for year one.

Health and handover

Vet-examined, vaccinated and dewormed before it travels, with the records handed over as originals. Keep them with the clinic number — a small bird on a booster schedule runs off those original dates.
