The monsoon, honestly

A African Love Birds in a Worli home

The flats here are compact and the buildings are close together, which suits a family friendly breed rather better than isolation would. A African Love Birds raised in this density grows up used to noise, lifts and strangers, and is calmer for it.

Walking a tiny breed in a crowded city

Keep the bird on the inside, away from the road, and accept that a Worli walk is a training session rather than a stroll. A African Love Birds learns the city fast when it is walked deliberately and never learns it at all when it is dragged.

Choosing between breeds

The African Love Birds is family friendly and lives around 5-15 Years. Both facts should sit in the decision. A breed that suits a household at thirty may not suit the same household at forty, and this is a long commitment in a city that moves people around.

The cost, and the cost after that

From ₹3,242. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. Budget a similar amount again for year one.

Health and handover

Vet-examined, vaccinated and dewormed before it travels, with the records handed over as originals. Keep them with the clinic number — a tiny bird on a booster schedule runs off those original dates.
