Buy Cockatiel in Upper Parel, Mumbai

We place the Cockatiel across Upper Parel and the wider Mumbai region. Every bird is vet-examined and dewormed before it travels, and you see it on a video call before anything is dispatched.

Walking a small breed in a crowded city

Keep the bird on the inside, away from the road, and accept that a Upper Parel walk is a training session rather than a stroll. A Cockatiel learns the city fast when it is walked deliberately and never learns it at all when it is dragged.

Choosing between breeds

If you are weighing the Cockatiel against something else, compare coat and energy rather than looks. In this climate a heavy coat is real work, and a small bird with more energy than your schedule has hours will be unhappy in a way that no amount of affection fixes.

Vets, boosters and finding help quickly

Register with a vet before you need one. In a city this size the difference between a clinic that knows your Cockatiel and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable. Do it in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong.

The monsoon, honestly

moderate Deccan, which is a polite way of saying the rain arrives and does not leave. A small bird coming in wet twice a day needs a towel routine and somewhere to dry that is not the bed. Fungal trouble in a Cockatiel starts in exactly the places you stop checking.

A Cockatiel in a Upper Parel home

People assume the constraint is square footage. It is usually storage - where the food goes, where the carrier lives, where a wet bird dries off in August. Solve those three and a Cockatiel settles into a Upper Parel flat with less friction than you would guess.

The cost, and the cost after that

From ₹3,078. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. Budget a similar amount again for year one.

Vets, records and the monsoon

Every Cockatiel leaves with its health record complete — vaccinations, deworming and a pre-listing check. Register with a Upper Parel vet in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong: the difference between a clinic that knows your bird and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable.
