Buy Cockatiel in Shahapur, Mumbai

What is listed for Shahapur is what we can actually deliver. A gentle small breed raised in this density grows up used to noise, lifts and strangers, and is calmer for it.

Walking a small breed in a crowded city

A Cockatiel in a Shahapur home

People assume the constraint is square footage. It is usually storage - where the food goes, where the carrier lives, where a wet bird dries off in August. Solve those three and a Cockatiel settles into a Shahapur flat with less friction than you would guess.

The monsoon, honestly

Ask anyone who has raised a Cockatiel through a Mumbai monsoon and they will mention the paws first. the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Rinse and dry between the pads after every walk from June onward. It takes a minute and prevents the thing that costs a vet visit.

Vets, boosters and finding help quickly

Register with a vet before you need one. In a city this size the difference between a clinic that knows your Cockatiel and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable. Do it in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong.

Choosing between breeds

If you are weighing the Cockatiel against something else, compare coat and energy rather than looks. In this climate a heavy coat is real work, and a small bird with more energy than your schedule has hours will be unhappy in a way that no amount of affection fixes.

The cost, and the cost after that

From ₹8,097. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. Budget a similar amount again for year one.

Health and handover

Vet-examined, vaccinated and dewormed before it travels, with the records handed over as originals. Keep them with the clinic number — a small bird on a booster schedule runs off those original dates.
