A Yellow Monk in a Naya Nagar home

Space in Naya Nagar is measured carefully, and a small bird has to fit into a plan that was already tight. The good news is that a Yellow Monk cares far less about floor area than about whether anyone is in the room. Households here manage this breed in genuinely small flats, and manage it well.

The monsoon, honestly

Ask anyone who has raised a Yellow Monk through a Mumbai monsoon and they will mention the paws first. comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward Rinse and dry between the pads after every walk from June onward. It takes a minute and prevents the thing that costs a vet visit.

Vets, boosters and finding help quickly

Register with a vet before you need one. In a city this size the difference between a clinic that knows your Yellow Monk and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable. Do it in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong.

The cost, and the cost after that

From ₹28,837. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. Budget a similar amount again for year one.

Health and handover

Vet-examined, vaccinated and dewormed before it travels, with the records handed over as originals. Keep them with the clinic number — a small bird on a booster schedule runs off those original dates.
