Walking a small breed in a crowded city

There is no quiet route, so the training has to do the work instead. A Shih Tzu that walks on a loose lead past traffic, hawkers and other dogs is a pleasure; one that pulls is a daily argument for 10-16 Years. That difference is decided in the first three months.

The monsoon, honestly

pleasant semi-tropical, which is a polite way of saying the rain arrives and does not leave. A small dog coming in wet twice a day needs a towel routine and somewhere to dry that is not the bed. Fungal trouble in a Shih Tzu starts in exactly the places you stop checking.

Choosing between breeds

Talk to us before you decide rather than after. We would rather place a different dog with you and have it work than sell you the Shih Tzu you asked for and hear about it in six months.

Vets, boosters and finding help quickly

Register with a vet before you need one. In a city this size the difference between a clinic that knows your Shih Tzu and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable. Do it in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong.

The cost, and the cost after that

From ₹23,912. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. Budget a similar amount again for year one.

Vets, records and the monsoon

Every Shih Tzu leaves with its health record complete — vaccinations, deworming and a pre-listing check. Register with a Revenue Colony vet in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong: the difference between a clinic that knows your dog and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable.
