A Shih Tzu in a Raviwar Peth home

People assume the constraint is square footage. It is usually storage - where the food goes, where the carrier lives, where a wet dog dries off in August. Solve those three and a Shih Tzu settles into a Raviwar Peth flat with less friction than you would guess.

Vets, boosters and finding help quickly

Register with a vet before you need one. In a city this size the difference between a clinic that knows your Shih Tzu and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable. Do it in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong.

The monsoon, honestly

the balanced weather is one of the easier Indian climates for pet ownership Four months of the year, everything about owning a Shih Tzu here is shaped by water - walks get shorter, drying becomes a daily ritual, and skin problems that would be trivial elsewhere turn stubborn if ignored. Plan for it rather than being surprised by it each June.

What it costs, and what it keeps costing

Budget ₹24,438 to ₹24,438 for the dog and a similar amount again for the first year. That second number is the one people forget, and it is the one that decides whether a Shih Tzu is comfortable in your household or a strain on it.

Walking a small breed in a crowded city

There is no quiet route, so the training has to do the work instead. A Shih Tzu that walks on a loose lead past traffic, hawkers and other dogs is a pleasure; one that pulls is a daily argument for 10-16 Years. That difference is decided in the first three months.

The cost, and the cost after that

From ₹24,438. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. Budget a similar amount again for year one.

Vets, records and the monsoon

Every Shih Tzu leaves with its health record complete — vaccinations, deworming and a pre-listing check. Register with a Raviwar Peth vet in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong: the difference between a clinic that knows your dog and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable.
