Buy Shih Tzu in Marine Lines, Mumbai

What is listed for Marine Lines is what we can actually deliver. A playful small breed raised in this density grows up used to noise, lifts and strangers, and is calmer for it.

Vets, boosters and finding help quickly

Register with a vet before you need one. In a city this size the difference between a clinic that knows your Shih Tzu and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable. Do it in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong.

What it costs, and what it keeps costing

Budget ₹23,912 to ₹23,912 for the dog and a similar amount again for the first year. That second number is the one people forget, and it is the one that decides whether a Shih Tzu is comfortable in your household or a strain on it.

A Shih Tzu in a Marine Lines home

Space in Marine Lines is measured carefully, and a small dog has to fit into a plan that was already tight. The good news is that a Shih Tzu cares far less about floor area than about whether anyone is in the room. Households here manage this breed in genuinely small flats, and manage it well.

Choosing between breeds

If you are weighing the Shih Tzu against something else, compare coat and energy rather than looks. In this climate a heavy coat is real work, and a small dog with more energy than your schedule has hours will be unhappy in a way that no amount of affection fixes.

Walking a small breed in a crowded city

Keep the dog on the inside, away from the road, and accept that a Marine Lines walk is a training session rather than a stroll. A Shih Tzu learns the city fast when it is walked deliberately and never learns it at all when it is dragged.

The cost, and the cost after that

From ₹23,912. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. Budget a similar amount again for year one.

Vets, records and the monsoon

Every Shih Tzu leaves with its health record complete — vaccinations, deworming and a pre-listing check. Register with a Marine Lines vet in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong: the difference between a clinic that knows your dog and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable.
