Buy Afghan Hound Puppy in Sankheda, Gujarat
What is listed for Sankheda is what we can actually deliver. A aloof large breed raised in this density grows up used to noise, lifts and strangers, and is calmer for it.
Walking a large breed in a crowded city
Keep the dog on the inside, away from the road, and accept that a Sankheda walk is a training session rather than a stroll. A Afghan Hound Puppy learns the city fast when it is walked deliberately and never learns it at all when it is dragged.
What it costs, and what it keeps costing
Budget ₹78,219 to ₹78,219 for the dog and a similar amount again for the first year. That second number is the one people forget, and it is the one that decides whether a Afghan Hound Puppy is comfortable in your household or a strain on it.
The monsoon, honestly
warm and arid, which is a polite way of saying the rain arrives and does not leave. A large dog coming in wet twice a day needs a towel routine and somewhere to dry that is not the bed. Fungal trouble in a Afghan Hound Puppy starts in exactly the places you stop checking.
A Afghan Hound Puppy in a Sankheda home
The flats here are compact and the buildings are close together, which suits a aloof breed rather better than isolation would. A Afghan Hound Puppy raised in this density grows up used to noise, lifts and strangers, and is calmer for it.
Choosing between breeds
If you are weighing the Afghan Hound Puppy against something else, compare coat and energy rather than looks. In this climate a heavy coat is real work, and a large dog with more energy than your schedule has hours will be unhappy in a way that no amount of affection fixes.
The cost, and the cost after that
From ₹78,219. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. Budget a similar amount again for year one.
Vets, records and the monsoon
Every Afghan Hound Puppy leaves with its health record complete — vaccinations, deworming and a pre-listing check. Register with a Sankheda vet in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong: the difference between a clinic that knows your dog and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable.
Raising a Afghan Hound in Sankheda: local climate
Sankheda is hottest in May, averaging 42°C in the afternoon, and stays above 38°C from March to May. A Afghan Hound needs real protection from that because a large body sheds heat slowly: walks before 8 am and after 7 pm, a cool tiled floor or a cooler in the afternoons, fresh water in more than one place, and never a parked car.
Winters are mild, with January nights around 13°C, so cold is not a concern.
The rainy season runs from June to September, and July is usually the wettest month. Check for ticks after every walk; dry inside the ears after baths and rain, since droopy ears trap moisture.
For a new Afghan Hound puppy, the easiest months to arrive are October to February: not too hot, not too wet, and warm enough at night.
| Month | Jan | Feb | Mar | Apr | May | Jun | Jul | Aug | Sep | Oct | Nov | Dec |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High °C | 31 | 34 | 38 | 42 | 42 | 36 | 31 | 30 | 31 | 33 | 33 | 31 |
| Low °C | 13 | 16 | 20 | 24 | 26 | 26 | 25 | 24 | 24 | 21 | 17 | 15 |
| Rain mm | 2 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 5 | 195 | 369 | 325 | 186 | 24 | 8 | 2 |
Climate figures: NASA POWER long-term monthly averages for a roughly 50 km area around the city, so rain near hills or the coast can read higher than in the city itself.

Care Tips for Afghan Hound Puppy
Living with a Afghan Hound Puppy through a Gujarat year comes down to water and space.
- Monsoon: rinse and dry between the pads after every walk from June. This is the one that costs a vet visit if skipped.
- Drying: somewhere that is not the bed. Four months of damp bedding causes exactly what you would expect.
- Walks: early morning for exercise, evening for company. The pavement decides, not the clock.
- Lead: loose-lead walking trained in the first three months, or argued about for 12–14 Years.
- Storage: food sealed against humidity.
