Choosing between breeds

Talk to us before you decide rather than after. We would rather place a different cat with you and have it work than sell you the Siberian Kitten you asked for and hear about it in six months.

A Siberian Kitten in a Charholi Khurd home

Space in Charholi Khurd is measured carefully, and a medium cat has to fit into a plan that was already tight. The good news is that a Siberian Kitten cares far less about floor area than about whether anyone is in the room. Households here manage this breed in genuinely small flats, and manage it well.

Walking a medium breed in a crowded city

Keep the cat on the inside, away from the road, and accept that a Charholi Khurd walk is a training session rather than a stroll. A Siberian Kitten learns the city fast when it is walked deliberately and never learns it at all when it is dragged.

The monsoon, honestly

Ask anyone who has raised a Siberian Kitten through a Pune monsoon and they will mention the paws first. comfortable temperatures for most of the year make routine care straightforward Rinse and dry between the pads after every walk from June onward. It takes a minute and prevents the thing that costs a vet visit.

The cost, and the cost after that

From ₹31,964. Listings well below that usually turn out to be missing the health work, and the saving evaporates at the first vet visit. Budget a similar amount again for year one.

Vets, records and the monsoon

Every Siberian Kitten leaves with its health record complete — vaccinations, deworming and a pre-listing check. Register with a Charholi Khurd vet in the first fortnight, while nothing is wrong: the difference between a clinic that knows your cat and one meeting it during an emergency is considerable.
